Kitsch's products often went viral on TikTok, but they needed a way to capitalize on this social momentum directly on their e-commerce platform. They sought to leverage UGC – including how-to videos, before-and-after transformations, and customer testimonials – to boost conversions and engagement. The challenge was finding a solution that could be easily maintained and integrated across all their platforms.

Solution

  1. Implement Tolstoy's PDP Stories on product pages, Kitsch’s mobile app and the Shop app
  2. Launch a homepage carousel featuring best-selling products and customer testimonials
  3. Conduct A/B tests to optimize user experience and integrate performance insights

Kitsch chose Tolstoy based on a recommendation from a tech leader at a leading brand, who praised Tolstoy for its ease of maintenance, integrations with various content sources including social accounts, and dynamic content publication capabilities.

The implementation process was swift and efficient:

  1. Kitsch started by populating videos of specific product SKUs on their Shop app listing.
  2. Simultaneously, they implemented Tolstoy's PDP Stories on their website.
  3. After just 3 weeks, Kitsch began analyzing video performance data and conducting A/B tests on their best-selling products.
  4. Based on positive A/B test results showing a 7.19% average purchase revenue (AOV) uplift, Kitsch quickly launched videos on their main product pages.
  5. Kitsch then expanded to additional channels, including their mobile app (built with Fuego), to increase conversions.
  6. Finally, they launched a homepage carousel featuring best-selling products and customer testimonials to increase CTR and product discovery.
